Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12
I remember thinking at one point “If I hear someone tell me I’ll understand when I’m older ONE MORE TIME…”
It’s so easy to look down on someone because they are younger, but age has so little to do with faith. You can choose to act young and try and push boundaries to see what you can get away with, or you can choose to set yourself apart in love and grace, growing into the woman God would have you to be.
When you go to do something, remember that people are looking for an excuse to look down on you.
When you go to say something, remember that people are listening to the words you’re saying to blame you.
When you speak about Jesus, remember that you can be the person that brings someone into a life-changing decision to accept Him.
Do not use your age as an excuse. And do not let anyone else use it as an excuse, either.
